School year 2015-2016 is going to be a great year!
Remind 101- Get reminders and important dates sent right to your phone!
For the past two years, I have been using Remind 101 for my class and it has been a GREAT success!
In an effort to have the most effective communication possible, I have set up a way to send group text messages to parents. The website I am using to do this is remind101.com.
No phone numbers are ever exchanged and individual text messages cannot be sent nor can replies be sent to me. This will be a way for me to send quick reminders about upcoming important events, reminders, and due dates. More lengthy communication and any individual communication will still be done through e-mail or over the phone.
Using this service does not cost anything, but you will be charged standard text messaging rates through your mobile phone provider. Please see the attached page for instructions on registering.

Class Behavioral System
Discipline Plan for Mrs. Dajero’s Class
Individual
All students will have a pig that will start on the grass (green). If the student has good behavior all day long, the student’s pig will remain on the grass and will earn a sunny dollar for that day. If a student exemplifies outstanding behavior, then that student may go into the barn (blue) and earn an extra sunny dollar for that day! Students will be able to “buy” items from the class store with their sunny dollars when the class store is “open” either once or twice a month on Fun Friday.
If a student chooses to break a rule or exhibits a bad behavior:
First time: Warning
Second time: Move pig to the mud (brown) - students will lose a sunny dollar for that day
Third time: Move pig into the pig pen (black)- students will lose a sunny dollar for that day and teacher will notify parents via email or phone call about student’s behavior
Tracking
Students will be tracking their behavior in their agendas. At the end of the day, they will flip to the date and color in the box. If a student’s box is:
Blue: had outstanding behavior (received an extra sunny dollar)
Green: stayed on the grass (good behavior all day)
Brown: moved pig to the mud (lost a sunny dollar)
Black: moved pig into the pig pen (received a parent note or phone call)
Group
The class is divided into four groups, each named after a different continent. The groups earn points for first ready transition, cleanest table, all homework turned in, etc. At the end of the week, the group with the most points will earn extra sunny dollars.
If a group is misbehaving or not on task, the teacher will be take away a point.
Whole Class
The class will be able to fill up the class piggy bank by earning pennies. The class can earn pennies by receiving compliments in the hallway from other teachers, getting an excellent report from a resource teacher, and other ways the teacher sees fit. When the class earns 20 pennies, the class will earn a reward, which could include, but is not limited to a popcorn or ice cream party, lunch with the teacher, or/and extra sunny dollars.
If the class exhibits bad behavior, the teacher will take away a penny from the piggy bank.
